The area
The original village along Gallows Road holds older single-family houses near the fire station. Dunn Loring Woods is an established mid-century neighborhood on wooded lots. Near the station, townhouses and condominiums built since the 2000s make up the higher-density stock. At the edges it runs into Idylwood and Merrifield, which are usually shopped alongside it.
Small, and therefore thin

The station
